A Broad Range Of Construction & Government Contracts Litigation

While our problem-solving and litigation skills have been recognized and called upon by participants in other industries, our focus has always been to provide for the anticipated needs of the contracting communities.

These "anticipated needs" cover a comprehensive set of services enabling us to effectively handle the diversified legal needs of the construction and contracting communities. For a complete list of our construction and government contracting related services please click here.

Our team of attorneys has years of project experience with the construction process. We understand projects from conception to completion including planning, design, estimating, procurement and bidding, award, construction phase, project management, claims, disputes, and closeout. This is whether the project’s delivery system is traditional design/bid/build, CM-at-Risk, integrated project delivery (IPD), or a variant of design-build or design build operate and maintain (DBO/M).

Our attorneys are recognized authorities in all aspects of construction and government contract law and are often at the forefront of new issues, developments and legislation affecting the industry.

From bid pre-qualification and protests, to contract interpretation and claims prosecution, our Construction Practice Group works closely with clients to guide them through complex issues. We routinely provide creative solutions, and help obtain "best results," while avoiding or mitigating costly dispute resolution and litigation.

In addition, we have successfully handled all types of "contractor responsibility" matters and investigations, including NYC Vendex-related issues and contractor integrity and eligibility problems.

G&C also has extensive experience in construction labor law, including union/non-union controversies, "double breasting" allegation avoidance pension and welfare fund audits, including related-Taft Hartley enforcement proceedings, common-situs (construction site), picketing and work stoppages, termination of CBA’s, and resulting ERISA "withdrawal liability" issues. We also regularly address Prevailing Wage Law proceedings both at the federal (Davis Bacon), state and municipal (NYS Labor Law ̕Section 220) levels. In addition, we also are increasingly addressing for our clients sensitive union/non-union ("merit shop") related controversies.
