Goldberg & Connolly partners Henry L. Goldberg and William J. Tinsley Named to 2014 Super Lawyers List

Goldberg & Connolly is pleased to announce that managing partner Henry L. Goldberg and partner William James Tinsley, Jr. have been named to Thomson ReutersTM Super Lawyers® 2014 list for excellence in construction litigation, government contracts, construction and surety law, and general litigation.

Mr. Goldberg has been named to the Super Lawyers list for eight consecutive years, a testament to his consistency in construction and industry-related litigation. This year marks the third consecutive inclusion for Mr. Tinsley.

Henry L. Goldberg - Construction Litigation Authority

Henry L. Goldberg, Managing Partner of Goldberg & Connolly, is an authority in construction law and government contracting. Mr. Goldberg enjoys a working relationship with the leadership of most contracting agencies in the area. He is a member of the MOLES, a fraternal engineering organization of the heavy construction industry, and the most prestigious organization of its kind in the world. Mr. Goldberg is Counsel to the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA) for the Metro New York / New Jersey Chapter. He is also Counsel to the Subcontractors Trade Association (STA) and past-president the New York City Chapter of the Construction Financial Management Association and is a founding Board Member and Counsel to the Long Island Chapter. He has also served as Chairman of the New York Building Congress Public Procurement Committee.

Mr. Goldberg earned a Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University and a Juris Doctor from Fordham Law School. He has the highest peer review rating (Preeminent AV) by Martindale-Hubbell®.

William J. Tinsley - Commercial Litigation Leader

William J. Tinsley, Jr. is a partner with Goldberg & Connolly and the head of the Construction and Commercial Litigation practice groups for the firm. Mr. Tinsley's diverse construction litigation experience includes matters involving design and construction defects, cost overruns, delay claims, wrongful termination, bond claims, construction takeovers and defense of prevailing wage class actions. He has defended and prosecuted cases for contractors, owners, developers, engineering concerns and sureties in litigation and arbitration matters involving the construction of power plants, light rail systems, pharmaceutical laboratories, retail centers, bridges, office buildings, condominium projects, schools and many other types of projects and infrastructure improvements.

Mr. Tinsley graduated cum laude from New York Law School where he was a member of Law Review and recipient of multiple scholastic honors. He has maintained an AV®Preeminent Peer Rating by Martindale-Hubbell® for more than 10 years. Mr. Tinsley is admitted in New York State Court, The Eastern and Southern District Courts of New York, The United States Court of Appeals for The Second Circuit and The New Jersey State and Federal Courts.
