Henry L. Goldberg, Managing Partner of Goldberg & Connolly, Moderates BTEA Panel on Construction Risk Management Essentials & the Changing Insurance Market

April 26, 2013 - Goldberg & Connollyis pleased to announce that the firm, along with the Building Trades Employers' Association of New York City (BTEA), moderated a panel discussion to a packed house. The event, entitled Construction Risk Management Essentials and the Changing Insurance Market. The event took place on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at the Scandinavia House, located at 58 Park Avenue in New York City.

The panelists addressed the major factors in the insurance market that are driving up costs for the contractor community, as well as other problematic insurance issues facing contractors today. Risk management topics included, insurance industry trends; recent legal decisions and Labor Law §240 Compliance; types of insurance coverage required for contractors and business protection; coverage for "upstream parties"; the impact of horizontal and vertical exhaustion; and steps to mitigate construction insurance challenges.
