The practice of law is the “ultimate service profession.” The mission is completed only when the problem is successfully avoided, mitigated or resolved. Merely going through the motions-whether in delicate negotiations or complex litigation—does not lead to extraordinary results. I have always sought to lead and motivate our legal team to “go the extra mile” in pursuit of our clients' goals. It is important to “play hard” as well. For me, it’s down hill skiing, competitive sailing or a round of golf. Last year I had the unique pleasure of assisting our pet Weimaraner to whelp six healthy pups.
