Goldberg & Connolly represents general contractors, "heavy highway" contractors, "vertical building" contractors, construction managers, public owners/government agencies, private owners, developers, subcontractors, sureties, construction suppliers, manufacturers and design professionals in complex construction projects providing guidance and solutions that routinely arise during all phases of a construction project including the planning, design, procurement, construction and management of a project.
In addition, G&C has extensive experience dealing with a broad range of construction issues including project delay or acceleration, differing site conditions, construction disputes and claims, terminations and contract closeouts.
Our team of attorneys have years of project experience with the construction process. We understand the design, procurement and award process, construction project management, as well as the business requirements of all of the parties. From bid pre-qualification and protests to contract interpretation and claims prosecution, our Construction Practice Group works closely with clients to guide them through the complex issues providing creative solutions to help avoid costly disputes and litigation.
We have successfully handled all types of "contractor responsibility" matters including NYC Vendex related issues and contractor eligibility problems. G&C also has extensive experience in construction labor law, including prevailing wage law proceedings at the federal, state and city level, work stoppages and trade union grievance arbitrations.
